This is my never ending project. I started it almost two years ago and I figure it will take me 2 more years to complete it. It's unusual in that it is done in rows, not rounds. There are 4 rows to the pattern. I start with row 2, do row 3 & 4 then work row 1, joining into the rest of the rows. It will eventually be 42" X 27" when completed. It is an altar cloth.

Terry,
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful!! what a lot of little medallions to deal with. Don't think I would have nerve to start something that large. I would get tired of it LOL.
Great work

Wow!!! It sure takes a lot of determination to start, continue and finish such a large project. I had wanted to do a shawl only, but haven't have the guts to start it!
ReplyDeleteTerry, that is absolutely gorgeous! Such determination to undertake something of that magnitude. What a legacy!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Terry, I'm so glad you showed us a picture of it.
ReplyDeleteCRIPES, that's one HUGE project. It's SO pretty too. Can't wait to see it finished.

ReplyDeleteIt's going to be beautiful! I've just starting planning (trying to figure out a pattern) a tablecloth. This will be encouragement for me that eventually I will finish. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning Terry!
ReplyDeleteThis will be a priceless treasure!
It's beautiful! How do you sew it together?
ReplyDeleteBless your heart. I know the feeling. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming you tat each motif as you go? or do you tat a run and then add them. Mine has to be tatted one motif at a time; although, Sharon B sent me an idea how to do it in blocks ~ haven't tried it as yet.
This piece is just beautiful.
hugs, BJ
